Sieiro Santos

Sjögren’s syndrome is a systemic autoimmune disease caused by lymphocytic infiltration of exocrine glands causing sicca syndrome. It can affect extra-glandular organs such as the lungs which can result in diffuse interstitial lung disease, a well-known form of lung involvement.
